We take great care that our products are tested under the harshest conditions. The findings from these tests are valuable for us to support product development. Where else can perform this endurance test is best, if not in hard racing. Whether the vehicle now has 2 or 4 wheels, does not matter.

Cooperation with the Tuning Academy

The Tuning Academy consists of experienced engineers in designing the chassis and body of cars, and offers engineering services on the chassis tuning on the track, right down to dimensioning and design of suspension and brake components.

Together with the Tuning Academy we study the concept of "optimization brakes"on a high sofisticated level. Therefor we use modern methods in the data acquisition to transfer new knowledge from the racing track to production vehicles. For those who want to belong to the "better brakings", we will report about the results from this cooperation.

Formula Student Teams supported by stahlbus

Students build a single seat formula racecar with which they can compete against teams from all over the world. The competition is not won solely by the team with the fastest car, but rather by the team with the best overall package of construction, performance, and financial and sales planning.

Formula Student challenges the team members to go the extra step in their education by incorporating into it intensive experience in building and manufacturing as well as considering the economic aspects of the automotive industry. Teams take on the assumption that they are a manufacturer developing a prototype to be evaluated for production. The target audience is the non-professional Weekend-Racer, for which the racecar must show very good driving characteristics such as acceleration, braking and handling. It should be offered at a very reasonable cost and be reliable and dependable. Additionally, the car's market value increases through other factors such as aesthetics, comfort and the use of readily available, standard purchase components.

The challenge the teams face is to compose a complete package consisting of a well constructed racecar and a sales plan that best matches these given criteria. The decision is made by a jury of experts from the motorsport, automotive and supplier industries. The jury will judge every team's car and sales plan based on construction, cost planning and sales presentation. The rest of the judging will be done out on the track, where the students demonstrate in a number of performance tests how well their self-built racecars fare in their true environment.

Therefore, our products are used from the successful triplespeed-Team of Jens Hebisch and his experienced mechanic Obi (Michael Obringer) for several years. In addition to the hard racing our products are installed in their own workshop in customer vehicles. This team has made a name in recent years in the racing scene with many exciting performances and is always found on one of the podiums. By Jens Hebisch self-written race reports from the rider's point of view, has become a cult and published in the media everywhere.

IDM-Rennteam Suzuki-Mayer

For over three years the race team Suzuki-Mayer is starting in the IDM (International German Championship) - with a clear upward trend. stahlbus supports this successful private racing team to demonstrate the practicality of the products in this competition.

In addition to this team, there are many more in various racing classes up to the trial and motocross, we provide with our products. What has been proven in racing is proven interesting and useful also for the normal driver. We all have to brake sometimes.
